These websites and electronic resources have been developed by the Faculty's IT Development Group. Websites use a Content Management Framework driven directly by content owners. Some resources (for example the ITD video clips) are ones which have been created by members of the team for various special purposes in relation to Research or Currculum requirements. Incorporates AJAX applets and Java servelets to populate real-time in-place searches for 'MY MCT' localised bookmarks, people, courses, awards, roles, IT Knowledgebase, news feeds and cross-site search. All pages designed to be user-editable via Firefox web browser using a wiki-style interface following user login. Document Management - MaCuDoc Click for site Description: Domino-driven Document Management System designed in house from 2001 onwards and created to M&C Faculty requirement by Team Domino. System requires local Lotus Notes client. Documents are stored conventionally, but the interface acts as a mediative and tracking to ensure correct workflow and version control. External editors can be involved in generation of a document. Web based 'Publish' and 'Un-Publish' interface allows finished material to be available securely and via password protection on the web. Data used in external-facing websites including MCS, Computing, Mathematics & Statistics and CRC. Users may input new items via a web form and data is avaialble in a variety of formats. Plans are being made to integrate this with the University's Open Research Online (ORO) depository. MCT - Safe Computing Advisory Bulletins Click for site Description: Information service developed in 2003 to alert subscribers to Internet-borne threats and security issues. Core information about each threat recorded in a Domino database and exposed via RSS on a variety of subsidiary sites. Bulletin registration via AACS's LM2001 List Management service. Some 900 subscribers to the bulletins currently.
